Developing brave, creative leaders

for soccer, for life

Most parents feel lost in the madness of youth soccer! We'll guide you along the way, while our coaches develop your player into a brave, creative leader so they can succeed in soccer and life.

How much time and travel?

Parents today are busier than ever. We get that. We design programs that maximize your child's development, without sacrificing other family priorities. Most of our players participate in multiple sports and are involved in other extra-curricular activities...

Who are the coaches?

You may have heard horror stories of well-intentioned coaches making fools of themselves, while simultaneously ruining the game for their players. By age 13, 70% of kids drop out of sports, often due to negative pressure from parents and coaches...

Is my child good enough?

You've probably heard at least one bad story about a child being told they're "not good enough" and "cut" from a team roster. Club soccer (among other sports) has gained a bad reputation for only serving the most athletically gifted players in their communities....

You. Are. Busy.

Parents today are busier than ever. We get that. We design programs that maximize your child's development, without sacrificing other family priorities. Most of our players participate in multiple sports and are involved in other extra-curricular activities.

Future Legends Leagues (5-7 yr olds) are offered year round, so families can choose which seasons work for their schedules. (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter 1 and Winter 2)

Our Legends Club teams play soccer year round, but we schedule in appropriate breaks throughout the year, and practice twice per week. Players that want more training can participate in our optional Academy Training Sessions, which are open to all players across the club.

We keep travel to a minimum. No driving to Florida or South Carolina for tournaments. We play most games in the NWA area, and have limited travel for tournaments. Most teams travel 1-2 times per season to Tulsa, Kansas City, or Little Rock.

We Coach - You Cheer!

You may have heard horror stories of well-intentioned coaches making fools of themselves, while simultaneously ruining the game for their players. By age 13, 70% of kids drop out of sports, often due to negative pressure from parents and coaches.

Legends coaches are trained professionals who have a passion for youth development - and the beautiful game of soccer. Many of our coaches have their own story about the negative impact from one of their youth coaches. We're working hard to break that cycle.

Our coaches put players first. We create an encouraging, empowering environment and we challenge our players to "go for it!" Our coaches set their egos and winning aside. We use guided discovery to allow players to solve problems and learn from each decision.

Our coaches are educators, who value education for themselves. We have regular coach training sessions. We read, watch, learn, and grow - and then we pass it along to the next generation.

Our coaches lead in the spirit of our Philosophy of Coaching.

Our coaches teach players an attacking, confident style of play.

Our coaches guide our players along their Player Development Pathway.

Your Child's Path

You've probably heard at least one bad story about a child being told they're "not good enough" and "cut" from a team roster. Club soccer (among other sports) has gained a bad reputation for only serving the most athletically gifted players in their communities.

But, our mission is more than serving only the genetically strongest players. Our mission is to develop players to reach their maximum potential as a brave, creative leader. We recognize what science teaches: that players can peak at different ages, and that success is the result of many life factors, many of which we can improve throughout a youth sports career.

We get creative with team rosters, age groups, extra training sessions, and event selection to make sure that our players are right where they need to be developmentally. Some of our teams are extremely competitive, high performance teams that compete in the strongest event divisions. Other teams play in lower divisions, but still focus on the technical development of each individual player so they can reach their maximum potential.

A successful youth soccer experience requires collaboration between the Club, the Player, and the Parent. We all have an important role to play. Legends players are committing to do their part: to train with their best effort during practices, to work hard outside of team practices, and to compete with intensity during games. If your player can make those commitments, we will do our part to find the right place for them within the Legends club family.
